Pat, Nancy, Don, Bob and Marie,I am very sad to hear of Cliff's passing. And I feel how deep your loss is. When I was with Cliff and dad, it made me wish I had a brother just like Cliff. He made dad come alive; with thought and laughter! Cliff was a truly great people person; as you all evidence.Love, John

I have many memories of meeting Nancy, and coming and going from her house on Lyndsay street in the 1970's. Mr Fryers was always there to say hello and ask how things were going....and hardly ever asked what we were up to! I had an opportunity to see him again not long ago. A lovely gentleman, he will be missed.

On behalf of the Burton family- Jon, Barbara and I, we wish to express our condolences to the Fryers family- Pat, Don, Nancy, Bob and families. We are thinking about you at this sad time but know you must be grateful for the long, active life your dad lived.A few years ago Cliff and Kay Hermiston came to visit us and Mum in Brandon and I remember how much we all enjoyed seeing them and visiting with them at that time. I remember especially Cliff's wonderful sense of humour. We lost Mum in January of this year so I know something of what you're going through. Even though she lived a long, healthy life, we miss her very much and think about her often. We'll be thinking of you all on Tuesday.Sincerely, Kathryn

I was privileged, along with my daughter Christine and my grandson Nathan, to attend Cliff and Marie's wedding, truly a joyful celebration. My thoughts and prayers go out to Marie and to the rest of the family at this sad time.

Cliff made the world better. I am so glad I got to know him. I called him Cliffy, as soon as I met him. I knew he was part of my family.

I remember Cliff and I driving across the ice to the Long Pine Lake cottage for Christmas family vacation. It was a bitterly cold winter and I assumed the ice was thick enough but I kept the windows open and Cliff commented, 'Why do you want the windows down?' I did not want to share my fear of going through the ice but assured him with my comment about fresh air is good for you. I am sure he was puzzled at that but happily let me drive with the fresh air. Little did he know my plan if we go through the ice we are going out the windows fast.I have more loving memories of Cliff with his stories, laughter and his hugs but this is one I wanted to share.Lovingly remembered Cheryl Fryers

My uncle Cliff was kind and always willing to help. I recall a bitterly cold Christmas Eve when our family car had a flat tire near midnight. We had no spare and no jack, but up drove Cliff to our rescue with a selection of both, to save the day! We asked him to come back and warm up before the fire........ He said, ' yes', and drove home! He was a true friend to my Dad. Uncle Cliff will be missed by all my family.

I worked for Mr. Fryers about 40 years ago at Norwood Tent and Awning. He was professional and respectful and made my first job experience an enjoyable one. I feel honored to have known him. Rest in peace.
