Uncle George will always be remembered by me as a humorous, generous and wonderful uncle. He had that tinkle in his eye that meant that he might be up to something. He made me laugh and it was wonderful to see the loving relationship he had with his wife and family and how close he was to my mother Isabel. I have many memories but one of the last ones was a brief visit to the lake to have lunch and a trip down memory lane. It reminded me of past child hood visits to the lake. He will always be remembered with much love. My mother in her own way, also sends him much love , and our family sends our condolences to his beloved family.Sue

George McRobb will be remembered by our family as a generous man who was always available to help people. At our home the front stairs were being replaced with concrete stairs. The forms were in place, the concrete poured, then the forms released and the concrete was running out. George quickly appeared and said 'looks like you could use a hand' and he helped to re-shore the forms and shovel the concrete back into the forms. This was the first time we met George.A lady driver had a flat tire on Portage Ave. and my mother commented that 'it looked like a job for George McRobb.' My father looked back to see George McRobb getting out of his car to help the lady driver.'The purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion and the will to help others. Albert Schweitzer'George McRobb is an example of living by these words.Wynnie, Laurie and Geordie; George was a great friend and neighbour to our family. Our condolences.
