Obituaries

We will always remember Mrs. Schmidt as a fun-loving and very caring person. She made us realize that one really does not need much in life to be as happy as she was. We visited her every summer, and got a phone call from her every Christmas once she had received our Christmas card. She always sent her love to our kids, and insisted that they call her 'Grandma G.'. We will really miss you, Mrs. Schmidt. May you rest in peace.

Gerda and I met over the phone while she with JoDee during her last surgery. We spoke for over an hour, getting to know each other and laughing. Though I would have loved to give her a hug and thank her in person for raising JoDee into a person that I like very much admire, I am honored to have had this experience.Thank you Gerda.Jette
