Our sincere condolences to you, Fred, Jen, Mona, Eric.... I absolutely would have been at the service if not for the maddening coincidence that it was the exact same day and time of my Mom's service in Calgary; Mom passed the day after Gerri.... Keep well, keep strong, it's what Gerri would have wanted from us all. Sig and Tannis Laser

I met Gerri through Ron Epp. Every year when we would come to visit family in Winnipeg, Ron would call Fred and Gerri and we would go over for a visit. I thought she was one of the most pleasant persons I have ever met and was saddened to learn of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Fred, Mona and the rest of the family.

What a sad and tragic loss for her whole family--Gerri was such a wonderful person and loved by many. We just saw she and Fred at our local Timmie's and we had a great chat with her. Our love goes out to her entire family.

Gerri was like a sister to my mom and always made a great effort to stay connected. Gerri had a lot of love for a lot of people and she will be greatly missed. As we sadly say goodby I know many others are saying hello.

Dear Fred and family. I was so sad to hear of Gerri's passing. What a great neighbour Gerri was. As kids she drove us to the pool and we always thought she was the coolest Mom on the street. She kept a look out over our home and in my parents retiremnet a look out over them. My Mom Paula now 92 was also very sad to hear about Gerri. Our entire family will miss her and we send our deepesty sympathy. David Nash Vancouver B.C

Gerri was my syncro teacher when I was 14+. She was a great teacher, full of laughter and fun. Eric, you were in a baby seat on the pool deck. I have fond memories of that time, thank you Gerri. My sympathy to the family.

Auntie Gerry was always a very kind and loving person with a big heart. I will always remember our yearly Christmas eve events at her and uncle Fred's house as well as the family reunion she organized. Nothing but good memories.

My heart is sad what a loss, she was such a special lady. I always thought of her as a 2nd. Mom. I will miss her, she was so kind, generous, and loving. Our family has known her friendly smile since I was born, we all admired her sweet ways. This is such a loss for all who knew her. Sending love to Fred and the family xox God Bless Mrs. Unwin

Gerri was my neighbor for many years and it was with great sadness that I heard of her passing. Gerri was much like Mr. Wilson from Home Improvement because much of our conversations were over the fence, the difference being that I got to see her wonderful smile every single time. She would pop her head over the fence almost daily just to see how the family was because she cared. Gerri and Fred were always generous and helpful so it's easy to see how they still remain in my heart. I wish the family strength and great love during these difficult times..

What a wonderful friend, since 1969. Gerri had a kind word for everyone and was certainly held in high regard by the countless friends and acquaintances she made during her all too brief travels through life. She will be missed, but never forgotten.Gerri: I hope they have Fort Garry Dark where you are now, but if not, I'm sure it won't be long before you have that remedied! Good-bye good friend.

I met Gerri when I was just a kid and her and Fred moved onto our street. She was one of those people that show (not tell) young people what it is to be a good person. Kind, friendly, and with a commitment to social justice, she was someone I admired all my life.RIP Gerri.
