GORDON WALTER

     It is with so much sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gordon Walter on October 13^th, 2022 at Riverview Health Centre.

Gord was born in Regina, Saskatchewan in May 1936.

Gord is predeceased by his wife Viola and brother Sigfried.  He is survived by his daughter Karla (Rick) and his sisters Evelyn and Marilyn and his brothers Howard and Wilbert as well as many other family members.

Gord was with CP Rail for most of his working life.  Never one to sit and idle, he enjoyed helping family and friends with all their renovation projects without expecting anything in return.  An incredible selfless soul who would do anything for his family.

Gord took great pride in his home that backed on to the forest.  He loved his flowers that he planted every year and enjoyed the peacefulness and beauty that surrounded him when sitting on the deck with a simple cup of coffee or having a small family bbq.

Gord was a strong, independent man who was the rock of our family.  His passing has left a hole in our souls that will never be filled.  We will miss his smiling face, his kind voice, his words of advice, and many laughs.  We were proud to call him Dad and a best friend.

We are forever grateful for the care and compassion that we encountered at the Grace Hospital ICU, HSC ICU and Riverview Health Centre.

Cremation will take place with a small family gathering.
