GUSTAV (GUS) NICKEL
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Gustav Nickel on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 85 years.
Left to remember Gustav are his wife of 63 years, Giselgard (nee Steginus); seven children; Gerhard (Darlene), Robert (Barbara), Dieter (Lorrie), Harry (Marilyn), Barbara, David (Elaine) and Richard (Tracey); 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother Ludwig; sister Eugenie; as well as aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends in Germany. He was predeceased by his parents, Reinhold and Adele Nickel (nee Zahn).
Gustav?s Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. For those who wish viewing will be held prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Vital Cemetery, 236 River Road.
