To the Oman family, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. It is always hard to lose a loved one but know that they are always in your heart and their ways live on in their children and grandchildren.

My sincere sympathy to Monelle, Dorrilee, Genelle and Eric. Gene was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He was a wonderful advocate of Job's Daughters and I will never forget the support he gave me throughout our times in Job's Daughters.. both in good times and some difficult ones. We have all lost a true friend.

My deepest condolences to the Oman family. Your dad hired me off the street while getting gas at a gas station near Symington yard and asked me if I was interested in working for the CNR.I took up his offer and met with him on Monday morning at the CN depot downtown where he promptly hired me. He was always a man of his word, I will always remember his gentle nature and his smile at work. He was a pleasure to know and work with

I remember playing with Dorrie at her 'CN' house in Fisher Branch when her family and her moved there in the late '60's. I always thought she was so lucky to live in that house by the tracks. I lived by the tracks too, so I just had to walk down the tracks, with Barbies in hand to visit her. We were best friends from the time she lived there til she moved away a few years later. I remember her Mom and Dad being so kind to me. Mr. Oman would let us play 'office' in his office and we would play with that machine on the tracks that you move the handle up and down to get moving.I just recently ran into Mr. and Mrs. Oman at Costco and we reminisced about the fun Dorrie and I had at their CN home.My heart, thoughts and prayers goes out to the whole family. Keep the memories in your hearts and he will be with you forever.

May the Lord give you strength and surround you with his love and that of family and friends. We will always remember our chili dinner and the special times spent at Grand Marais with you. Star Love Always
