I remember the winter of 1952-53 when in Nov uncle Harold arrived at our farm flat broke. As I recall he worked with Hector McInnes and Morris Foster helping out on their farms. Then in April caught a ride to wpg. 17 months later he married aunt Mary. I always loved his laugh. I will miss you.

I got to know Harold at Seine River Retirement Residence. He was a great guy, kind and thoughtful. One night when the power went out, he climbed the stairs from floor to floor, carrying his portable oxygen tank, to make sure everyone that had oxygen was connected to their portable tank, with no concern for himself - a truly selfless act. My mom and I will miss him.

We got to meet Uncle Harold at the cottage in Baker Lake NB. My mom Edith his sister, welcomed him to the cottage and we had a great visit, while he toured the country in his red truck. He impressed us all for his endurance and stamina at the time and the will to live and explore. Our deepest sympathies.

We had the pleasure of getting to know Harold on our many visits tosee our mother, Edith Phillips, at the Seine River. We watched Haroldplay and mentor many of the residents in a game of pool or in themulti purpose room. He was always a delight to visit, always upbeat, loved his 15 children....ever so proud of his family and always positive. He was a leader, a coach and best of all a great friend toeveryone. God bless!

I remember working with him as he plastered the walls in a home. he was the last of the lathe plasterers. I marveled at the his artistry. many fond memories. good bye Harold, a very good friend lionel c
