HEATHER GLORIA BERNES (nee BURNS) It is with sorrow we announce the death of Heather Gloria Bernes on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at her home in Winnipeg at the age of 70 years. Heather is survived by sister Bonnie (Sandy); nephews Ward (Cory and Delaney), Wade (Karen, Ryan and Austin), Jason (Rachel, Cody and Morgan), Troy; and numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Robert (Bob) Burns and Emma. Raised in Northern Manitoba Heather lived in The Pas, Toronto and Whiterock, BC before settling in Winnipeg. Working varied jobs throughout her life she enjoyed having her own business in thoroughbred racewear the most. Heather retired in 2008. She was an accomplished artist and will be long remembered for her beautiful paintings. In compliance with Heather’s wishes, there will be no Service.
