Mom was born in Thalberg, Manitoba on December 12,1931 She married the love of her life Gordon Lutz on December 1,1949 and the two of them were inseparable until his passing in 1993. In her younger years she worked at Daytons as a bookkeeper; before owning/operating the AAC Arlington Athletic Club Restaurant and pool hall for many years on Arlington and Flora Ave in Winnipeg. Her and Gord loved spending time at their summer home in Beaconia where they loved to work on their garden , make delicious dill pickles to serve on their signature sandwiches at the AAC, and entertain their family and friends. Their home was always open as they loved to have a good time! She loved watching the Jets and Bombers, spending time with her grand children and great grandchildren ,playing bingo, as well as getting her hair and nails done every week even in her final weeks at the care home. After Gord’s passing Helen resided at the Anavet Lodge for 30 years before living at the Kildonan Personal Care home. The family would like to thank the staff at Kildonan Personal Care home a well as the WRHA home care staff that cared for her over the past two years. There will be no funeral and in lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice in Helens name
