HELEN CLARINDA PETTAPIECE (nee TAYLOR) 1927 – 2013 On Saturday, December 14, 2013 the world lost a wonderful person. Mom passed away peacefully at Grace Hospital at the age of 86 years. Remaining to forever cherish Mom’s memory are daughter Margaret Devries (Bruce) and their children, Jennifer Miller (Scott), great-grandchildren Ty and Emily, Laurie Taylor (Ryan), Julie (Kevin), Kyle; daughter Anne Lefebvre (Michael) and their children Andrew (Haley) and Jessica (Miguel); as well as nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Keith. Helen was born on January 25, 1927 at Maryfield and raised on the family farm. She met and married the love of her life Keith, while teaching in Rivers. Mom and Dad then moved to Winnipeg where Mom taught school and then raised her family. She was a gentle, modest, humble lady. Her greatest love was her family. On Friday, December 20, 2013 a Celebration of Helen’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Avenue. Interment will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Pettapiece Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory can be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7 or a charity of your choice.
