We remember traveling 3 cars to Alberta for M’oncle George’s funeral. Matante Helene amongst us. We took turns rotating all the passengers to have a chance to visit with each other en route. Then it was our turn to have Hélène in our car till the next pit stop. She kept us quite entertained with her stories and her jokes. At the next stop we pleaded for someone else to take her in their vehicle as our sides were sore from laughing so much, and wiping our eyes, trying to catch our breath. She was hilarious. They would get Helene and her trinket trunk of sandwiches, chips, chocolate bars, cheesies, gum and licorice. Did I mention she fed you too. She was larger than life. Did you get your hug today?

Helene was a wonderful woman, there aren't enough words in the English dictionary to describe her. I was truly blessed to know her. As a matriarch of the family and true pillar of the community there will definitely be a huge void in the lives of her family, friends and community members. To Lucille, Andre, Monique and families may ALL your wonderful memories help you through the difficult days ahead. I was never more proud to call her "mom" even though she wasn't my mother. She was an true angel from above, and now she has earned her wings. Rest peacefully Helene.

Our sincere condolences for the loss of Auntie Helene. She was a truly wonderful person. I have many fond memories of driving to St. Dust ache with Dad and Mom when I was a little girl to to visit with Matante Helene and Mon Oncle Eugene. She was always welcoming with a loving smile. She will be dearly missed. Heaven has gained another beautiful Angel. Rest in peace Matante.

My condolences to the family. Matante Hélène has always been there, from my earliest memories, and always laughing and looking to cause some mischievous fun. And in her later years, Mom looked forward to visits with Matante and always came back full of Hélène’s energy. She is at peace now. Lucille, André et Monique, et toute la famille qui ont passé du temps à son côté au cours des dernières semaines, merci. Il n’y aura aucune autre manière qu’elle aura voulu vivre le restant de ses jours qu’avec sa famille. Michel

You were a big part of my life for 44 years. We watched over each other with love. Gonna miss your hugs, our chit chats, your positive outlook on life. The last thing I did every night was look out my window to make sure all was well next door. And although you are gone, I still look out. Loving you always.
