Henry Luellman

March 7, 1936 - September 26, 2016

HENRY HANS LUELLMAN   Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, Henry Hans Luellman (Dad) passed away on the Monday, September 26, 2016 at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 80 years.   Left to cherish Henry’s memory are his daughter, Susan; sons, Doug, Chris (Jackie), Darren (Vicki) and Kevin; grandchildren, Candice, Karina, Mikayla, Ryan, Adam and Marek; great-grandchildren, Damien and Lexi; sisters, Karin and Renate (Johannes); niece, Tanya; and nephew, Nicolas. He was predeceased by his mother Marie and father, Heinrich.   On March 7, 1936 Dad was born in Diepholz, Germany. Dad immigrated to Alberta, Canada in 1955 where he began his new life as a cattle ranch hand near the town of Wildwood. While in Edmonton, Alberta Dad held senior management roles for the Dominion and Safeway stores. He relocated to Winnipeg, Manitoba where he spearheaded and managed various commercial enterprises in import & export and industrial building maintenance. Dad later joined the Federal Government in 1983 where he served diligently as a Property Officer for Public Works Canada until his honorable retirement in 2004.          Dad will always be known for his love of animals, delicious cooking and warm family gatherings. Dad was passionate about gardening and music. He also enjoyed puttering around in his wood working shop. Dad loved the outdoors, one of his favorite destinations was Clear Lake in Riding Mountain National Park. He was an avid Edmonton Eskimos football fan.           Dad will be remembered for his kind heart and gentle nature.
