Thank you everyone for your lovely & comforting tributes. We miss mom so much...and all the little things that are no longer here. You were a beautiful mother inside & out...you didn't just leave a 'footprint'...you left a 'heart-print' on so many. You were my gift & I was blessed to have you in my life. Love you forever, Linda, David & Madyson xo

I followed the path God has laid for me. I took his hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all.I could not stay another day,to laugh to love, to work and play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found thatPeace at close of day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh,A kiss, it is these things, I too will miss. Be not burdened with time of sorrow, I wish to you the sunshine ofTomorrow. My life's been full,I savor such, good friends, good times and loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed allToo brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift your hearts and share with me, God wanted me. He called me home. He set me free......Irene you are one of the most wonderful person I have ever met. I will always miss you. You will be in my heart forever. Rest in peace my dear friend.

I always remember Irene as the 'fun' mom. All of Linda's friends were made to feel welcomed by Irene. I unfortunately can not make the funeral. Sorry for your loss.

Irene it was a great joy to get to know you these last few years, to invite me into your family, to share the Christmas's, the birthdays, Madyson's graduation, our Jack and Jill party, our wedding, and all the mundane day to day stuff. I envy your legions of friends and family who have had the opportunity to be in your life a lot longer than I. It was a great honour to be allowed to call you 'mom', an honour I will treasure always. Thank you so very much for everything, rest in peace our Zenmaster.

Vic, Linda, Ron, Danny and families my deepest sympathies and prayers are with each of you.I feel like I have had the privilege of knowing Irene for most of my life. I remember when your Nanny Ellen came to the Seniors program and I came to realize that she was related to all of you, it was wonderful being reconnected after so many years. Irene became more of a friend in my life at that time. A greater friend is hard to find! Her words of encouragement, her wonderful sense of humour and her very sensitive and caring spirit will always be treasured in my heart.I will miss you Irene......until we meet again. Family, I pray that you will all hold onto the wonderful memories that you all had the wonderful privilege of creating and sharing with the wonderful lady, mother nanny and friend dear Irene. May God comfort you all.... Hugs to all.

To Linda, Ronnie and Danny, I remember my first plane ride with your mother when I was 12 years old. I spent a month in Winnipeg that summer and Irene was kind and generous to me. That trip was the start of my interest in travel.I am thinking of you in your time of shock and sorrow.Joanne (daughter of Tookie and Bob St. Jacques)

My Dear Irene,I have known you for over 31 years and although we have not seen each other in many years, you were never far from my heart. The few words we shared over facebook or with a card were always so heartfelt and caring. Irene you were a very special lady. You had the magic touch. I have so many fond memories of you. You were one of the most loving, giving people I know. I will always treasure the memories I have of you and every Christmas as I always have I will think of you with love and happiness. God Bless and all my love to your wonderful family who loved you so.
