Left to lovingly remember Jake are his wife, Molly; sons Dave (Dorothy) Irvin; stepdaughter Pat; one sister Mary; grandchildren; great- grandchildren; and many friends. He was predeceased by his wife Helen; parents Maria and Isaac Bergen; son John; brothers John, Dave; and sister Helen. Jake was born in the R.M. of Stanley on June 11, 1922. He married Helen Giesbrecht on August 22, 1948. She passed away in 1994. He later married Molly Czerwinski on July 6, 1996. Jake will be remembered for his gentle, loving ways and his good sense of humour. He loved to play the guitar and other instruments. He was a clock collector and loved the flea markets but most of all he loved his cars. On Friday, April 11, 2014 Jacob’s Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington Street. We would like to give a special thanks to Home Care, Grace Hospital staff and staff at Charleswood Care Centre and Betty Hatter. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Cross.
