Dad was my rock and my anchor while at the same time allowing me to fly free. He helped me all the time, as much as I needed, anytime I needed it. I only hope I helped him enough when he needed it. 'Dad, I will miss you all my life, I only hope you knew when you left how very much you meant to me and that I loved you.Sleep tight, my little Daddy.'

I remember Jim as being a little gruff around the edges, with a heart of gold.He often thought of me when doing the grocery shopping and would always bring me something I would like, for instance Captain Crunch cereal. He had a passion for cars and finding great deals and helped me turn a buy on a $50, 1979 Datsun 4 speed - into $100. He bought the battery from me for $50 and I sold the car to the wrecker for $50 more. He was kinda brilliant that way. :-)He had a thing for his little Hyundai at the time and often bragged how it would start in the coldest temps. It was his baby. He would poke fun at his son Trevor, running out to the street with kettles of boiling water, trying to thaw his Mustang.I borrowed the car from Jim once (it was a standard) and when I got back, he asked what I thought of the car. I said, 'I love it! Drives great! But...my legs get a little tired from pedaling...'. Good times. Happy memories. Jim loved his family. I'm honoured to have been a part of that.Love to his family. If St Peter is looking for a good used car at a good price...Jim's got his back.Rest In Peace Jim. xo

One night I mentioned to Anne that my husband Pete was going to shingle our roof the next day. Before 8 the following morning, Jim was over waiting to get started and helped him until the job was done.
