JAMES (LAWRENCE) ARTHUR DAVIES
   James (Lawrence) Arthur Davies passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 3, 2017, at the age of 83.   Lawrence is predeceased by his parents Formosa and John, his two brothers, and his daughter Marilyn. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife, Georgine, of 50 years. Lawrence is lovingly remembered by his wife Georgine; children Billy, Heather, Larry, Tina, Candace and Darlene; his six siblings; and 19 loving grandchildren, and many other relatives.   James was born in Pigeon Lake, MB on April 11, 1934. He started working at a young age and was always known to be a hard worker. He spent a large portion of his life working in various mines throughout western Canada, eventually settling down in Winnipeg, MB to spend more time with his beloved family.   Some of James’ favorite pastimes were watching sports, being outdoors, gardening, reading the newspaper, and listening to country western music while enjoying some red wine. James will be remembered as someone who genuinely enjoyed seeing his family happy. Whether it be with a ride to school on rainy day, or a stroll to the convenience store for a bag full of treats, he always knew how to make his family feel loved.      The service will be held at The Salvation Army Heritage Park Temple, 825 School Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.   Expressions of sympathy may be made at Wojcik’s Funeral Chapels & Crematoriums, Winnipeg, 2157 Portage Avenue, 204.897.4665 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com
