My Grandpa was an amazing man who was well respected and adored by all that met him. One of my favourite things about him is his witty sense of humour. I miss hearing his jokes and the jokes that his longtime customers...more so, friends, had told him...he just had to share them. I believe my love for animals comes from him. He is amazing with animals and I wouldn't have trusted anyone more with my pet than my Grandfather. I can sit back and smile and laugh at the memories I have of him and I am so glad that he had the chance to be in my childrens life and them have their Papa in their lives, even for a short time. I will make sure they don't forget their Papa and how amazing he was. I know he is and will continue to be happy that I have a good, hard working man in my life and I assured him that I will make him proud and do great things in my life. It was an honour to have a Grandpa like James McIntyre and to be by his side as he left this world. It brings peace in knowing that he is reunited with his parents and other loved ones and friends. He will never be forgotten. He will be forever loved and always missed. We will meet again,Grandpa. Until then, watch over us and keep us safe. We love you! Love always, Teghan, Lenin, Thayana and Jaileen

It has been two weeks and already it feels like years. I miss you so much Dad. You are thought of every day. I love you so much and will think of you with so many good memories. Every day we are closer to seeing each other again. Until it is my time, I will go on and do what you know I am capable of. For you....I will be strong. Mom misses you, I am helping her where I can. Jim and Evaline are great people. I loved hearing jims stories from the hudson bay company days and his subsequent stories of his hotel days. He really loved his animals and was smiling from ear to ear when he talked about his grandson. I'll miss you buddy. My condolences to the family.Randy

Jim was an amazing man. We had just met him for the first time in November. I thank God that we were blessed to have crossed paths with Jim. He was so full of joy, and his stories were just amazing. He was very proud of his family. He loved his wife and told us all about their beautiful life together. He talked of his grandson and the trips they took together to his favorite place in Mexico. We learned about Jim coming to Canada from Scotland. His dad had been able to borrow $30 from the bank and send Jim here. He worked in the fur trade and absolutely loved animals. Our dog Molly fell in love with Jim at first sight. He showed us a goat he had found and us laugh with all of his jokes. Truly an amazing man. When we left from our first visit with him I had felt like I had just read a great novel and couldn't wait to get back and see him and meet his wife and hear more stories. He is missed so much and by only meeting him once I felt like I knew them for a lifetime. God bless him and his family. In our thoughts & prayers. Holly & Robert.

He is my hero, the man I called Dad. I have much pride and respect for him that will never leave me, just as I know he never will. I will live my life trying to be half the beautiful heart he was, to work hard to have the pride he had in me remain. I will look after Mom the beat that I can Dad....I know you believe that. You, my Little Daddy, rest now. When I need you,I will close my eyes and see your sparking blue eyes and cheeky smile. You will help me through life.....of that I am sure of.I love you forever Dad...until we meet again. Xox
