James McLeod was the Manitoba Director of the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association. I consulted with James a fair bit and respected his opinion and guidance. He provided very valuable assistance to me on RCNA accounting matters and offered me very practical and good council. He became a good friend; I will miss him.The RCNA extends its deepest sympathies to his family, especially Kathy, his wife, and his two sons, Brendan and Liam. James will be deeply missed by all but especially by his young family.William Waychison, RCNA President 2011-13

James became a friend of mine when he worked at Petro Canada. We talked all the time and I kept asking him what he wanted to do. I challenged him to go back to school. He received his degree and was so proud. He would talk about his girlfriend Kathy and as life moved along we always stayed in touch. He was always smiling, always positive. He said he married his soul mate. He was so proud of the boys. We watched as each our family grew up. We would have lunch, or go for coffee and talk about family and friends. He new what made his life whole and that was his family. He watched my family grow up and I his. Kathy, Brendan and Liam. Jim I will always think of you and you will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kathy, Brendan and Liam. God bless you Jim, my friend..

James and I went to school together, then rekindled our friendship many years later as he gave me masterful assistance with my taxes. Since then I have always looked forward to tax time so I could spend a couple of hours talking, laughing, sharing stories, and yes, actually doing the taxes together! James always included his family in the evening, and I have always been so impressed at the musical talents of Brendan and Liam, and the wonderful and caring home that James and Kathy made for their family. James, you are so missed, and Kathy, Brendan and Liam, your dad was amazing! You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep James' wonderful smile and laughter alive!

I was in Commerce with Jim, and we worked in the Ag industry at the same time. He always livened things up with his laugh and care-free manner. Certainly not the typical business student, which was refreshing and fun. My condolences for your great loss.

Jim and Kathy were very young when they began dating. I was not sure if I liked this young man being so serious about their relationship at such an early age but they stuck it out, did a little growing up and it became evident that this was a couple that belonged together. Jim greeted you with a smile and a hearty handshake and always had something interesting to say; you never had to think about something to talk about. His down to earth manner made him a nice person to be around.Andrea and I wish the best for Kathy, Brendan and Liam in this difficult time. We all will miss Jim, a good guy taken from us all too soon.

My deepest sympathy is extended to the family and friends of James. The world is a better place because of all that he did. James did much to get my affairs in order and to offer the most beneficial advice. Thank you James and may your family be comforted at this very sad time.

I will always remember Jim for the big smile on his face when he greeted us. He would always start a phone call or discussion with 'Hello Mrs Lane and I would always reply Hello Mr McLeod. This got to be a tradition with us.. He was always so friendly and welcoming right up to the last time we saw him just before Christmas when we stopped by for a short visit. He was always professing his love for Kathy, calling her 'My Lady' with such love and pride. The boys were the light of his life and he would beam while talking about their accomplishments and how they were growing into such nice young men. Always reminding us they were just like him of course.... He was such a proud Father. He also helped some people I referred to him to do their income tax and they all spoke so highly of how he went above and beyond to help them in any way he could. He will be missed by so many lives he has touched. We are thinking of all the family and wish we could be there if for no other reason but to give you all great big hugs, a shoulder to cry on, and show you are loved. We are thinking of you all and are very sorry for your loss. Jim was a man we always admired and respected. We will miss him...Ross and Marlene
