JANE FUTORSKI

Jane passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on Wednesday, August 5, 2015. She was born April 28, 1944, grew up in Winnipeg and attended St. John?s High School. Upon graduation she followed her passion and entered Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing (1965). She was a caring and competent nurse who remained active until 2012 in her profession. She made many friends throughout her life, many of whom she cherished as friends today. Her love of travel, adventure and different cultures inspired her to reside in Hawaii, San Francisco and more recently in Saudi Arabia, as well as travel to many other countries throughout Europe and Southeast Asia.
She will be greatly missed and forever loved by all who knew her.
Predeceased by her parents and her sister Nell, she is survived by sisters Pat and Elsie, nephews Don, David, and niece Inger (Alex) and their children. She will also be missed by her cherished feline companions Wally and Pookie.
The family wishes to thank Jane?s many great friends for all their support through these challenging times. A heartfelt thanks also to Dr. Daeninck and the staff of 5E and 5B of St. Boniface Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Museum of Human Rights (Friends of CMHR), 85 Israel Asper Way, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0L5, or an animal shelter of your choice.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
