JANE (JEAN) DOWNES MCCORRY It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Jean McCorry on March 19, 2015 at the Chilliwack General Hospital. She is predeceased by her husband, Ronald McCorry, December 2014. She leaves behind daughters, Eleanor (Fred), Dorothy (Lorne), Evelyn (Steve); and son Richard (Roslyn); grandchildren, Stephen, Jeffrey, Terri, Gerald, Derrick, Darren, Ryan, Christopher and Melissa, and 14 great-grandchildren. Jean was born June 8, 1924 in Glasgow, Scotland, coming to Canada in 1947, where she enjoyed a sparse variety of careers. She enjoyed travelling, spending time with family and friends, and her casino bus trips. Jean was an outgoing woman with many dear friends, as her personality was infectious to everyone in her presence. Jean will be forever remembered in the hearts and memories of everyone that had the chance to meet her. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Winnipeg, MB.
