JEAN AGNES HIRD

Jean Passed away on October 3, 2024. Jean was born on the family farm at Treherne on July 6, 1931.

She worked at CIBC for 42 years including branches in Treherne, Portage la Prairie and 3 in Winnipeg, lastly as Manager at 55 Nassau for 22 years.

After retirement, she volunteered for the next 20 years at the Canadian Cancer Society, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and community relations with the Winnipeg Police Service. She was a member of the Soroptimist Club of Winnipeg for 40 years and served on the Board of Winnipeg Condo Corp #3 for 35 years and on her church board.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, George & Isabella Hird, sisters Eleanor Buchanan and Marion McCallum and her brother James. She is survived by her brother-in-law Ken Buchanan and numerous nieces and nephews.

At her request, there will be no formal service. A private burial will take place at Woodlands Cemetery in Treherne.
