Aunty Nette, as she was known in my family, was the life of the party. Our family visits to '388' were a high point in our young lives. Our Mom, Agnes Whitehill Jacques, considered Jan her best lifelong friend. A few years ago, Jim & Jan visited us on the west coast and we enjoyed a few days together that left happy memories for my family. Paddy and I offer our sympathy to Jim - you will miss her so much. Our condolences to my cousins and Aunty Jen's family on the east coast.

Her surviving brothers (Sam Jr, David (MacNaughton), Dave, Tom and I miss her very much. She kept in contact with us all and visited Cape Breton Island as often as she could. Her sister Margie also predeceased her. Margie, Dave, Evelyn, Sammie and I were all fortunate to visit her and Jim in Winnipeg.

So sorry for the loss of my Aunt. Jeanette was a beautiful person. We enjoyed her and Jim's many visits to the East coast. I especially remember when I was 12 and she came home with Diane and we went around the Cabot Trail. Our hearts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

Heartfelt thoughts go out today to my Vokey Whitehill Fardy family in Winnipeg who are mourning the loss of their lovely Mother, Grandmother, wife, sister & friend Jeanette Fardy.♥ I had the great fortune of finally meeting Aunt Jeanette & Uncle Jim just 8 or 9 yrs ago on a trek out west. They both welcomed me with open arms & altho the visit was brief, I felt a great connection & remained in touch by phone, cards & letters. Both Jan & Jim are full of fun & energy! This lovely couple were always on the go enjoying golf, curling baseball & just keeping busy & active! As a child I was always told how much I looked like Jan as she & I shared the same freckly female Vokey face with the chubby cheeks! Peace & love be with you Aunt Jeanette, & with no more pain may you continue on in next journey ♥we send our love to you & yours your neicesDale Vokey (Toronto), & older Sister Leone Wilson (Cobourg) xoxox Youngest & oldest daughters of John Robert Vokey & Florence Buckler
