Jeffrey Dennis Rosendale
Feb 24, 1970 – Jan 21, 2025

On January 21, 2025, we lost our Jeffy after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer at the Grace Hospital.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Terri and their children, son, Rob Pace (Stephanie) and their daughter Faya, son Jesse Weimar (Zoila) and daughter Destiny Weimar (Garrett). His parents Brenda and Del Thompson, brother Chris Rosendale (Tracy), sister Candace Opiola (Joe) and step-brother Chris Thompson. Mother in-law Glennys Fairbairn, brother in-law John Fairbairn (Nancy) as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his dad Dennis Rosendale, stepbrother Steven Thompson and father in-law Jim Fairbairn. He is also so very missed by his very special fur babies Timmy and Georgia.

Jeff was born in Winnipeg, lived some of his early youth in Burnaby, BC, then returned to Winnipeg where he spent the remainder of his life. Jeff graduated from Silver Heights High School in 1988. Jeff started working at Boeing Winnipeg in 1989. Jeff was proud to be on his 36th year with the Company. Jeff had so many wonderful friends and co-workers at Boeing that we know will all miss him so very much. He may have not always shown it, but you all meant so very much to him.

Jeff proudly became a dad in 1998 when his son Robin was born. They enjoyed “just the two of them” for quite a few years. They enjoyed the bachelor life playing video games, watching movies and playing street hockey. In 2003 Jeff was introduced to Terri by good friends Mike and Colette. One date turned into a wonderful life together. They blended their lives in 2004 when they bought the house in Westwood. They were married in their backyard by the pool in 2006. To Jeff and Terri, it was all about the kids. Many family camping trips were made, quite often with friends Glenn and Donna. In 2006 a trip to Disneyworld started their love for Disney. They took the kids to Disneyland in 2012 and went again to Disneyworld with no kids in 2020. Many road trips were taken with the kids across Western Canada and thru out the US. In 2013 Jeff went to Arizona for a guy’s weekend and he fell in love with it. Terri joined one of the Arizona trips in 2016 and Jeff’s “begging” to get a home there began. In 2019 Jeff’s dream came true when they purchased a home there. Many vacations with Garth and Anny and the kids happened there. Jeff loved the sun and the heat, it was truly his Happy Place!

Jeff enjoyed golfing with friends, He curled at both Deer Lodge Sunday mornings and Friday evenings at Assiniboine Curling Clubs. He was a huge fan of the show Survivor having watched every season and organizing a pool for it. He was also a fan of the show Supernatural, watching ever episode. Terri teased him he only watched three movies; Sleepless in Seattle, You’ve got mail and It’s a Wonderful Life. He was also a very proud owner of a 1969 Camaro which he had until his illness.

Jeff was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer May 4, 2022. Jeff fought hard doing twenty rounds of chemo and had the Whipple surgery in Toronto August 2023. He was cancer free after that but still had many health issues due to all the chemo and the surgery. Sadly, in October 2024 it was discovered the cancer had come back. Knowing time was limited Jeff and Terri made the most of their time. They had a wonderful trip to Arizona in November and they had a wonderful Christmas with their kids. Things took a quick turn this year and Jeff was tired. He didn’t want to leave but had made peace with what was to be.

Both Terri and Jeff have so many people to thank. Our kids, our family, all of our amazing friends, co-workers, curling friends and QOF running friends. Thanks to Dr B Goldenberg, CancerCare at the Victoria Hospital. Dr McGillivary and the Toronto G.H. Dr Harris and CancerCare at the Grace Hospital. All the Staff on the 5th Floor at the Grace Hospital. Also the biggest thanks and hugs to Dr R Visser who was always there for Jeff, from getting chemo started quickly, to helping get him approved for surgery in Toronto, to visiting him at HSC with her cat.

Cremation has taken place, a Celebration of Life will be held in the spring for all to attend. Donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to Craig’s Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society.

Love you more Jeffy
