Joan was my boss in Acquistions from about 1975 until about 1991 or so. I loved working with her and she taught me a lot about purchasing books and other aspects of the library. She knew her job and did it well. I kept in touch with her and luckily had a chance to talk to her at Christmas this year. She will be missed but she left a great legacy.
