I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. Although I haven't been able to see you or your mother as much as I'd like, my heart goes out to you. Some of my earliest memmories are of your Mom and Dad, and my parents partying, traveling, and generally enjoying each other's company together. Your mother's memory will live on, and I will always be reminded of her when I speak to my sister, who was given your mother's name, as a loving tribute by my parents for their everlasting friendship.

Dale, and Sharon, I wanted to send my condolences for your loss. I have great memories of our growing up in Transcona. I think of my high school friends often and, hope everyone is well. Your mother was a great person and she will be sorely missed. Know that there are many people thinking of you and wishing you both the best.David Bates

Dale and Sharon, your mom was such a special person! I have many fond childhood memories of time spent in your home and with your family. Often over to visit with Dale, I had many opportunities to visit with your mom at the kitchen table. She always had a smile on her face, and warmth and kindness in her words. She was tolerant of noisy guests and quick to invite me to stay for supper!I experienced many firsts with your family. My first time ever watching Monty Python's Flying Circus was in your living room (we did not have cable). My first Santa Claus parade was with your family - I would not experience the parade again for more than 40 years! Your mom was inviting and even included me on one of your many family trips to Lac Du Bonnet.Your mom was always patient and concerned for our well being. I remember one winter that brought an exceptional amount of snow, and Dale and I proceeded to tunnel out much of the back yard. Your mom was very concerned that the tunnels would collapse on us and that we would be hurt, but in the end she acquiesced, knowing that boys just have to have fun!I have never forgotten my roots on Kootenay Crescent, and periodically drive down the old street to reminisce. I have often wondered over the years what became of your mom when I drove by her house. I was saddened to learn of her passing, but not surprised in the least that she maintained that wonderful smile until the end! Your mom was a kind and gentle soul and she has left her mark on many people over the course of her life. She will be missed by all who are left behind, but joyfully reunited with your dad.May God grant you peace and comfort.

Dale and Sharon: My condolences to you on the loss of your Mom. I was moved to read the thoughtful and loving obituary you published. Adele would have been pleased. As adults, we seldom saw each other as we lived so far apart, but as youngsters we were often together. She was the only cousin of my age--all of the other cousins were older than my Mom, so we called them 'Auntie.' I will miss her.

Mom was so caring. Often I would hop on the last bus from downtown to get back into Transcona, usually way past midnight. Mom would meet me at the bus stop either way down on Regent and Brewster or Kildare and Brewster. She never once thought about her safety only mine.
