JOANNA RUTH PENTON (OLDFIELD) (WILKINSON)

Peacefully on February 27, 2023, Joanna passed away at Tuxedo Personal Care Home.  She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Dorothy Wilkinson, her husband Peter Penton and her children’s father Jack Oldfield.  She is survived by her loving children Janice Dyck (Darrel Irwin), Jeffrey Oldfield (Linda), Derek Oldfield (MaryAnn), her grandchildren Corey Oldfield, Christopher Oldfield (Jasmine), Mike Sossai (Andrea), Chantelle Coyne (Justin), Nicole Hjelmeland (Erick) and her great-grandchildren Nicholas, Daniella, Colton, Oliver, Lindsay, Emma and Rylee.  She is also survived by her stepchildren Debbie Burgess (Bob), Tom Penton (Maryann) and Jim Penton.

Born in Winnipeg October 5, 1931, Joanna attended Kelvin High School and completed her University education at University of Winnipeg.  She was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed bridge, curling and time at the family cottage at Husavik, Mb.  She loved her years living at Beauchemin Park and made many friends there.  Above all, Joanna loved her family and will be deeply missed.

Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will follow at a later date.  Donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Joanna’s memory if so desired.  The family wish to thank Tuxedo Villa staff for their kind care of Joanna.
