Dear grandma, I miss you. It's been a month since you've been gone and I still wait for the phone to ring. It still doesn't feel real. You were the greatest fighter I knew, you braved through anything life threw at you. You were always supportive of anything I was doing, you were there for me. I loved hearing stories about our babysitting adventures, they always made me smile. I wish you could have met Ben, or been around for my wedding day, but you knew it was time and I'm just glad you aren't suffering anymore. The only thing that gives me peace is knowing that from the moment I first opened my eyes, to the time you closed yours, you loved me. Nothing will ever be able to take that away. I love you so much Grandma. I hope you're taking it easy up there :)Love Toni

Joanne completed my brother in the most beautiful way. Through thick and thin, their love for each other stood all tests. Joanne was a woman of incredible strength and courage, grace and dignity. Her love of life and mischief was ever evident in those eyes. She leaves a big hole in the families and yet the beauty of a life do richly lived will bless our memories of her. So glad she reached her peace without too much suffering. You will ever be in our memories. Alice Fortin-Hamm and Bill Hamm

My mom was a feisty woman....a little ornery at times....just enough to make you smile. She was also very strong as was shown by all the medical challenges that she went through during the last 3 years. Many times we did not think she was going to 'make' it through but she always did...until this time. Even during our last visit with her, she was not concerned with her illness but with others in her life. We love her and are glad that she no longer has any pain or suffering but can go and kick up her heels in heaven...watching down on all of us. Miss you & love you Mom ! Love Tannis & Phil

Mom, how beautiful you were...when I showed Wilfred this picture and asked if I could use it for your obituary, he said yes. This is how he wants to remember you, so beautiful. We both agreed that we could see your 'mischievious' twinkle in your eyes...and we shared some good memories of you with laughter, no tears and it felt so good! It still seems surreal that you're gone but, it'll get easier as each day goes by. Remember that I love you and you'll always be a part of me as I was of you...
