After a long struggle of injury and illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father John Alan Taylor on October 16, 2023 at Oakview Place in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 73.

John was born in Altenstadt, Germany on November 24, 1949.He immigrated to Canada in 1951, settling in the town of Selkirk, Manitoba, where he would grow up with his parents and three siblings.

He is survived by his beloved wife Karen of 51 years; daughters Tara (Don), Lori (Carlos); son Alan (Josi); 6 grandchildren Felicity, Valecia, Romeo, Athena, Victoria and Brianna; siblings Anna (Tom) Tepliski, Bish (Anne) Grabowski, and Mary (Tony) Shumilak; 6 grand nieces and nephews Jennifer, Michael, Christopher, Laura, Reagan and Jeffrey; 3 great grand nieces and grand nephew, relatives and friends.   John was predeceased by his parents Piotr (Peter) in 1990 and Wladyslawa (Gladys) Grabowski in 2007.

He was an avid fan of outboard motors and boat racing, a computer and tech enthusiast, and a cat lover. Most notably, John was known for his outgoing personality, sense of humor, and gentle nature. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
