Everyday it brought a smile to my face to sit and chat about life with this extraordinary man! He is one of few people that instantly put my mind at ease! I am thankful to have known him and will miss him dearly! My condolences to the family. My heart goes out to all of you!

Eric was a lifelong friend and to me was like a second father. Visiting him at Deerlodge the last few years and our talks brought back a flood of great memories of Eric and the Babson family. Great fishing trips, house parties, and many other get togethers. Eric will always be in my heart and thoughts. Sleep well my friend, say hi to Betty and give her a big kiss from me.Heart well thanks for being the man you were.Bye for nowWaynee

I will always remember Eric and Betty as great family friends from Martin Avenue. Our families shared lots of laughter and fun and our mom's many cups of tea! Eric will always remain one of my favorite memories!

We were very sorry to hear of Eric's passing. Rick and I remember the BBQ's Eric and Betty had at their house. Eric was truly one of the kindest and honorable men we have ever met. Our memories go back to the 1960's with Eric and Betty and they will forever be a part of our most fondest memories.

I sit here and read these heartfelt comments and smile because I know exactly what they are talking about. I was lucky to have spent the last 25 years with Papa. He was the Dad everyone would have wanted, always loving, funny and always on your side-even when you are wrong. He was the best Papa to our children, loving them unconditionally and helping us teach them to be good people as they grow. He had a special bond with our 2 sons which they will forever cherish. We are all broken hearted but happy to see him go to be with the love of his life, who he missed so much these last 10 years. Thank you Papa for accepting me and loving me like you did.

I just read in today's paper; John's name, I was shocked. I have been the barber/hairdresser at DLC for 19 years, and John was my ABSOLUTE favorite person. I just loved when he came in for a haircut and he sure will be missed by me.
