JOHN CHINCHAR April 30, 1949 – January 30, 2015 After a battle with lung cancer, John died peacefully in his home on Friday, January 30, with his wife, Nicole, son, Johnny and his two dogs by his side. Left to deeply miss John are his wife, Nicole; son, Johnny (Dianna); grandchildren, Kayla and Bret; brothers, Ron (Sandy), Nick; sisters, Mary, Evangeline; foster brother, Glen (Judy); and in-laws, Noel (Pauline), Marc, Lucie, Victor (Gwen), Louis (Sarita), Dan (Tanis) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Matilda; father, Nick; brother, Joe; sister Helen; foster parents, Irene and Joe Romanow; grandson, Justice; father-in-law, Zeph Dubois; mother-in-law, Alice Dubois and nephews Charlie, David and Chris. John and Nicole were married for 41 years and lived for most of their married life in Lac du Bonnet. He was a hardworking man who had spent the last years as a cement truck operator for Al Meisner Ltd. Family was very important to him. John enjoyed playing cards, chatting and listening to music. He was also known for his dance moves and wouldn’t need much prodding to dance at socials. John had a great love for animals and the outdoors. He had a unique perspective and enjoyed debates. You were a special man who was often funny without realizing it. We are going to miss your infectious smile and contagious laugh. Thank you for the memories. You have given us so many great stories that will last a lifetime! You will always be on our minds and forever in our hearts. Till we meet again. You are missed. John’s Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #164, 45 McArthur Avenue, Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba. For those who wish, viewing will be held prior to the Service. Interment will follow in the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery.
