JOHN ROLAND ERSKINE February 25, 1943 – January 6, 2013 It is with profound sadness the family of John Roland Erskine announce his passing on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Victoria General Hospital. John is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy; son John, Jr.; sisters Margaret (John Cummings) and Carol Relf, and their families of Edmonton, Alberta. He was predeceased by his mother Elaine in 1994 and father John, Sr., in 2008. John was born February 25, 1943 in Amherst, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia. He enjoyed a career with the Canadian Armed Forces for 33 years retiring in 1993. John’s tours took him to Egypt, Germany, Northwest Territories and all across Canada. He just loved to travel, and couldn’t wait for his next posting. In compliance with John’s wishes, there will be no formal Funeral Service. The family would like to thank Dr. Kotecha, Dr. Trevor Lee, Dr. Parks, Dr. Dennis and the staff of both St. Boniface and Victoria General Hospitals. Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
