JOHN (PAUL) FRANCIS
Paul Francis joined God in Heaven on Friday, September 29, 2017, at the age of 60 years.
Remaining to cherish Paul’s memory are his daughter, Lisa (Steve Klassen); granddaughter Selah; son Joel and his father, Jack.
Paul grew up and was educated in the St. James area of Winnipeg. He graduated from the University of Winnipeg and the Ontario Seminary College in Toronto. He married Kathy Kroeker in 1981 and they did missionary work in Hawaii. Returning to Canada, Paul pastored the interdenominational church in Logan Lake, BC. His next stop was Toronto, where he was associate pastor at Danforth Baptist Church and where Lisa and Joel were born. Paul and his family moved to Halifax where he planted Gateway Community Church at Lower Sackville. He was pastor there for 20 years.
During retirement, Paul returned to Winnipeg where he continued to counsel and help people, to the end of his life.
On Saturday, October 7, 2017, Paul’s Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive, Winnipeg.
