Ian McWatt a great man!!!! I have known him since I was a teenager. He brought the sparkle back into Joan’s eyes!!!! He gave good advice and helped so many people with their renovations and repairs over the years me included. He came and replaced my kitchen counters when I was pregnant with my first son so I was able to have Christmas in a house that was falling down inside. He gave me hell when I needed it on more than one occasion over the years. He offered love and support unconditionally. I gave nothing but good memories. He was a wonderful talented painter. I have 3 painting he gave me as gifts that I will always cherish. He accepted everyone as they were and gave people many chances to make better choices and always forgave people crappy ones, I noticed this several times with so many people. If you needed help with anything he was there to help with Joan not far behind. His payment a meal and a few beers. He gave me plenty of pep talks over the years and sound advice. He came and renovated my basement when I moved after a messy divorce and I was broke and needed help and did it for cost so my boys had a nice place to play. My boys knew him as Evan’s Grandpa Ian. He was such a proud man with a big heart. I will never forget him!!!! We shared a love of books and many laughs at Judy’s table or over at Joan’s always good times and lots of laughs. Ian will be missed. My heartfelt deepest sympathies to his family and friends. McWatt as Joan often referred to him was loved by everyone he came into contact with and enriched their lives. I will miss you Ian RIP see you in the next life.
