Mr. Szilagyi was a father, husband, friend and a good man. He escaped from communist Hungary, and came to Canada. This meant leaving behind family, friends and a country he loved. He was a man of many talents. He was a foreman for the construction company that built the Centennial Concert Hall and other civic buildings. He was a farmer in Tolstoi, Manitoba, a butcher, and store owner in Vita, Manitoba. He wore many hats. He was a devoted husband to his wife Theresa, and a good father to his daughter Cathy. To the many lives that he touched he will be missed.
