JUDY DAPHNE ELAINE CYR (NEE HAYWARD)

JUNE 16, 1947-DECEMBER 18, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Cyr at the age of 74, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, after a debilitating battle with Dementia.

Judy was predeceased by her parents Ken and Edith; sisters Kathy and Sharron and brother Kenny. She is survived by her husband Jean-Paul; children Ron and Elaine; daughter-in-law Jhuvy; grandchildren Cathryn, Khayman, Xienne, Jessica and Juliana; sisters June and Carole and brothers Chris and Michael.

Judy was born in Edmonton, Alberta and was a true Albertan until the end, even though being a military wife for 40 years kept her away more times than not. Her husband, Jean-Paul, took care of her at home until no longer possible, then she was moved to West Park Manor, where she passed away. She was married to Jean-Paul for 44 years and was a faithful and loving wife. She was also a wonderful and kind mother and grandmother. She helped raise her grandson as if he were her own child and she never complained about it once.

Judy was an avid reader and a crossword puzzle lover. Her favourite board game was Scrabble. Unfortunately, Dementia slowly took all of these hobbies from her. I know she is happy in Heaven, free of pain, reading a book with a cat on her lap.

There will be a viewing on January 6th at 1:30 pm at Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel and Crematorium at 2157 Portage Avenue. If you are interested in attending, please email Elaine at cyrelaine@hotmail.com.

We will love you and miss you for all time. Rest in Peace.
