Mrs. Lay Sak

Peacefully and surrounded by the love of family, Mrs Lay Sak passed from this life into the eternal world in the early morning hours of Friday July 15, 2022 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg.

She was born on July 1st 1929 in Cambodia and came to live in Canada in 1988. Lay Sak was predeceased by her Husband Yem Touch in 1975 and her son Houn (Soeun Hem) in 2019 and her daughter Phan in 2013.

Lay Sak was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother who loved her family and did all she could to help them and also her close friends. She always had a wonderful warm smile, even though she may not have been able to communicate with you. She had a sweet and gentle soul.

She will be missed by her son Yam Touch ( Kim Leng ) and daughter Sarom (Ty Nouem ) as well as her grandchildren Matthew, Kevin, Jonathon, Konica, Monta, Sokoeun (Veasna), Sarath (Laty), Saron, Sokron, Sokorn and many great grandchildren.

Lay Sak will also be missed by so many relatives and friends of the Cambodian Community and the congregation of the New Apostolic Church.
The family wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to the Doctors and Nurses at the Grace hospital, the New Apostolic Church, and all the friends and family who have supported them in these difficult days.

Visitation and cremation has already taken place. A Service of Remembrance will take place at 7 pm on Wednesday August 24th 2022 at the New Apostolic Church, 1755 Taylor Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3N 1Y2.

Instead of Flowers, a donation in remembrance of Lay Sak can be made to the New Apostolic Church (on-line at www.naccanada.org) or to the charity of your choice.
