Obituaries

   Peacefully, with her family by her side, Lenore passed away at West Park Manor on Thursday, March 1, 2018. She is survived by her children Theresa, Judy, Lawrence (Jan), Lenore (Dean) and Janet (John); grandchildren Sarah (Scott), Jesse (Denise), Meghan (Chris), Carlee (Sam), David (Breanne), Brendan, Alex (Jess), Steven, Grace and Lindsay; great grandchildren, Richard, Noah, Easton, Mira and Felix and by her brother Norman (Anne) Stertz.  Mom was predeceased by her husband Steve; her parents David and Elizabeth Stertz; her sister Evelyn Downes and brothers in law Jack Downes and Felix Murowski. Lenore was born in Ashern, Manitoba on December 29, 1932. The family moved from the farm outside of Ashern to Winnipeg in 1942. After completing high school Mom went to work with the Manitoba Telephone System. Lenore and Steve were married on July 19, 1952. Living in St. Vital for a short time, Mom and Dad then moved to Charleswood in 1956, where they spent the remaining years of their lives. Mom had many artistic abilities, among them a talent for drawing. She also enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, and crafts. A private family service has been held. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at West Park Manor and especially her nurse Claire for the excellent care provided to Mom.
