On Thursday, October 6, 2016, our Mom peacefully passed away at the age of 83 years, at West Park Manor, her home for the past eight years. Mom is survived by daughters Debbi (Dale) White and Sharon (Jeff) Muirhead and their father Reg; as well as four grandchildren, Marika and Kyra White and Brendan and Liam Muirhead. She is also survived by her only brother, Brian (Sandra) Elwood, and their sons Jeff (Bridget) Elwood and Jason (Lynne) Elwood and their children. Lil was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up in the West End. After staying at home to raise Debbi and Sharon, she worked as an Education Assistant for St. James-Assiniboia School Division. She loved to write short stories and had been the editor for Kirkfield Park United Church newsletter. A Service of Remembrance for our Mom will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in Kirkfield Park United Church, 472 Kirkfield Street, Winnipeg. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg. We wish to thank the staff at West Park Manor for Mom’s respectful and compassionate care.
