LUCILLE ROSE OGILVIE (nee TURCOTTE)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Lucille Ogilvie (nee Turcotte) on December 16, 2024 at the age of 79.

Mom is survived by her son Shaun (Kelly), daughter Gloria (Mitch), sister Iris, brothers Kelvin, Neil and Mark as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends Ron and Tanis.

Mom was predeceased by her mother Olive, sisters Diane and Greta, Daughters Kim and Donna.

Mom took pride in being a Nana. She was “Nana” to many but most importantly she was a Nana to Paul (Shay), Brian, Rosie, Maliyah and Zaydan.

Mom was born on May 15, 1945 in St. Boniface, Manitoba and raised in Traverse Bay, Manitoba. Mom spoke fondly of her childhood with her sister Diane and grandparents.

Mom loved to visit and drink coffee, although her absolute favourite was Pepsi. She welcomed all her visitors and she always had many, with open arms and a hot kettle.

She loved playing dice and watching her game shows. She also loved visiting her family in Pine Falls.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and to be announced.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

A special thank you to Rivereast Personal Care Home and St. Boniface Hospital for the care and comfort they gave our mom.
