LUCY PAULA VIKICH October 22, 1927 – August 8, 2013 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Lucy. Mom was a hero and the matriarch of our family. She was a strong woman, even through the debilitating illnesses she suffered with over the years. She still managed to have a successful career as a nurse for many years, in addition to raising three children. Mom leaves to mourn her children Nina (Glenn), Mario (Kari), and daughter Pia; grandchildren Ben, Sam and Carlee (Kevin); special friend Bernice; and her two little kids, faithful companions Junior (the dog) and Tuesday (the cat). She was predeceased by her loving husband, Peter. Our family would like to make mention of mom’s special friend Bernice. She wasn’t just a friend; she acted as a sister and caregiver day and night. We would like to thank all the wonderful homecare providers, especially Kathleen and Lawrence. We also thank the E.M.S. staff and the staff in the Adult Emergency department at H.S.C.
