MAE CHASTELLAINE

After a courageous battle with a lengthy illness, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mae Chastellaine. Mae passed away on January 25, 2024 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 76 years old.

Mae was born in Selkirk, Manitoba on November 28, 1947 and was raised in Matlock, Manitoba. She later moved to Winnipeg, where she made it her home.

She is survived by her common-law partner of 51 years, Charles, her daughters Charlene (Ron), Sandra (Greg), Patricia (Wilfred), Lori (Jason), Kimberley (Edward), Karen (Thomas; and her sister Mary Isabel.

Mae is predeceased by her daughter Cheryl, grandson Justin; brothers Oliver, Clarence, Walter, Ernie and Charlie; also her parents John orton Chastellaine and Marion Sinclair.

Mae was a proud grandmother to 35 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren an 1 great-great grandchild and another on the way.

Funeral Service will held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Wojcik’s Chapel of Memories, 1020 Main Street.
