MARGARET  ALISON  BROWN

(nee HYNDMAN)

Our mother peacefully let go of this life on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the age of 91 years.

She was a progressive woman, university educated, open minded, mother, grandmother, guider, supporter. She was the ‘glue’ in our family.  Mom was helpful to a fault. She tirelessly assisted her family and others.  Anyone who knew Marg was touched by her.

Raised on a farm in southern Manitoba by loving parents, Marg learned the need of community and friendship. She played in a band, golfed, curled, and worked at various occupations. She loved to laugh and kept us amused with her many expressions. One of the last things she said was “It’s all good”.

Marg was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Robert Brown in 2006. Left with great memories and an example of how to live, are her three sons, Denis (April), Michael (Shamim), Alan (Candy). Her biggest love was for her grandchildren: Kristen, Jon, Michael, Kelly, and Caitlin; along with great grandchildren: Asher, Makenna, Leif, Siggi, and Magnus. Very close to our mom was her cousin Anita Schmidt, and niece Barb Kaleal.

Thank you so much to West Park Manor. Marg was loved by the staff and treated with dignity and respect. We cannot say enough to how your care and kindness was appreciated. Thank you, Anita for all your love and visits to our mom.

A family gathering, and celebration of Marg’s life took place on Sunday August 5, 2018.
