MARGARET ROSE MORRIS
March 30th, 1927 – April 20th, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Margaret Rose Morris on Wednesday April 20th, 2022, at the age of 95.

Margaret was born in Menzies Manitoba on March 30th, 1927, to Edward and Catherine Spraggs; parents of eleven children. Later after moving to Winnipeg, she met and married Peter Morris in 1958 and they had two sons together.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter Morris as well as a number of her siblings. Margaret is survived by her two sons, Robert (Philomena) and Donald (Shelly); grandchildren, Brittany, Stephanie (Anderson), Alanna, Connor, and Kiah (Connor); and siblings, Mary and Douglas (Donna).

Margaret was a small woman with a big heart and her home was often a revolving door to friends, family members, international students, or anyone in need of a place to stay. She loved to host guests in her home, and she truly brought people together with her words of kindness and encouragement.

Following Margaret’s wishes cremation has taken place. A small funeral service will be held for immediate family. All other family and friends are invited to join us at an internment service Tuesday April 26th at 2:30 PM at Chapel Lawn Cemetery (4000 Portage Avenue Winnipeg,
