Auntie Mary, you were a character and one heck of a woman and you were well loved by us all. You were and will forever continue to be an inspiration. Strong, brave and an all around good soul, you will be missed.

I always enjoyed your Mom's visits to Stony Mountain...thru aunt Betty Ozuk, your Mom found out that I lived in Stony Mtn and stopped in one day and became a regular visitor a couple times each summer for about 7 -10 years...I know my late husband, Tom and Mary always had lengthy conversations or 'debates' as they called them. I am sorry I was unable to attend the funeral as I was having some minor surgery done.

Hearing of Mary's passing brought a flood of fond remembrances; one of the first, in the late '70s, was a friends & family corn & potato roast down by the riverside. Mary made 'fruit of the Spirit' investments in relationships, & I am glad she was my friend. My heartfelt thoughts & prayers go out to the Fetterly clan.

I appreciated your mom's sincerity, work ethic, sense of humor, spontaneity, delicious perogies, and her love for the Lord whom she served with such fervor! She loved her family and spoke frequently about you all. Praying for you as you grieve her passing!

I have fond memories as a child going to visit and Aunt Mary and Uncle Carl and all of my cousins. We always had a blast there! I was really proud of Aunt Mary taking her R.N. qualification at 51! Lot of love and big hugs to all of my cousins.

I send my sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother. To have had someone whose own life was never to give up on her dreams in spite of sacrificing them for so long is inspiring and that spirit will no doubt be missed. Carry the good times in your heart from now forward and accept our prayers for peace to come to you all.

The Fetterlies were a constant source of activity and adventure in our neighbourhood, with Mary at the centre. She was always open, frank, and funny. She also made great bread. Eating a piece of Mary's fresh homemade bread with real butter and peanut butter is one of my best memories. My love and condolences to all the dear, dear Fetterley kids (I still remember some of the crazy little rhymes Harvey used to make with his sister's names, and three-year-old Elden reciting 'Algie Met a Bear'). Thanks to Mary for giving us the Fetterlies, and for being who she was in my life.

Dear Aunty Mary's ChildrenMy heart, thoughts and prayers are with you. We loved Aunty Mary because she was open and honest. Last time I saw Mom was 1999 at Sharlenes funeral. We had the privelage of taking Mom to the luncheon. She shared with us the family news. One by one our Heavenly Father picks the flowers in His garden. It is almost 5 years since Leslie passed away. I trust that the 'God of all comfort' will be with you all.
