Darlene and Doug , so sorry to hear of your moms passing. She was a beautiful lady and I enjoyed sharing some special luncheon outings with you and your mom. I knew your mom through your devotion over the past 30 years as a friend and co-worker. You called your mom twice a day from your office desk always ending with “ I love you mom”. I know you also made a 10:00 p.m. call every night to say good night. During this past year and through Covid times you spent everyday outside her personal care home window even in the coldest weather. You shared beautiful pictures with me of your mom from her window and I felt I could reach out and hug her. She always had a beautiful smile. You had a special relationship with your mom and a daughters love and devotion that went far beyond. You were always there for your mom. You were your mothers angel. May your many loving memories of your mom live on in your heart and may they comfort you. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Love Maureen and John

This morning, I have tears. I only knew of your Mom through the window of St. Norbert Personal Care, but felt I got to know her through her wonderful, caring daughter Darlene. I learned to know of Mary through your Eyes and Heart Darlene. Her gentle little smile and wave of her hand warmed my heart. She has now joined her husband and is wrapped in the Arms of God and surrounded by Angels and I am so sorry for your loss. You will always keep her beauty and generosities of life alive with your husband and kids. I will give you hugs from a distance and will miss the little visits at the Window. If Covid had not been in our midst and I had been allowed to visit within the building, I surely would have spent a little time with her. Just know that you were and are her little Hero. I address this to Darlene but my sympathies go beyond. Sending love in your direction and so grateful that "I had that little walk by your special window." Sandra
