I knew Mel for most of my life . When I was younger and going into his Speedee Mart on Tyndall , as a young adult hanging out with his children , to being great friends with each other . Mel was not only one of the greatest friends I could have, but also a mentor. He had a great knowledge of business . Mel treated his friends like family , and his home was like your home. If he was capable , he would do anything for you. Mel was a very generous person who liked different foods , some of which I may not have experienced to this day. Mel was so enjoyable to be around , I would visit him whenever possible . I would visit him at his home or work , have coffee , breakfast ,lunch , and dinner with him . He enjoyed friends visiting and would request their company. Mel also believed there were no bad children , they were just being children . He always gave everyone the benefit of a doubt. Mel is a big part of who I am today. It would be nice to have one more coffee with you Mel . Yes , I will get it myself and Yes while I'm up I'll get you one too ! With lots of love, I will miss you Mel .Mitch and Family

Uncle Mel, you will be missed by so many. So many memories growing up and always feeling not just a friend of your daughter but like a second daughter. Hugs and thoughts to Aunty Gay, Dean and Stacy, thinking of you at this difficult time.
