Mike and I played atom hockey together out of River East. I vividly recall Mike racing out to the top of the circle to block an incoming slap shot by former NHLer Brett Hull. Mike successfully blocked the shot and as a result broke his finger. Rest in Peace, God Bless you and yours.

Barb - we were truly saddened to hear of Mike's passing as he has become such a great friend over the last many years as our #1 Sunday Night Zamboni Guy. He will truly be missed by the members of the Manitoba Ice Hockey Club and our loss is indeed Heaven's gain as the ice up there will forever be top notch! Our thoughts are with the Boychuk and Nickel families during this time.
