Michael David LeBow passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 73 years, after fighting a courageous 35 year battle with debilitating multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Left to forever cherish Michael?s memory are his wife, Barbara Louise Ernest; children, Matthew and William (Viktoriya); granddaughter Alina; sisters, Esterelle Deane (Sheldon) and Julie Cannon; as well as many nieces and nephews.
On June 24, 1941, Michael was born in Detroit, Michigan to William and Mildred (Rosenman) LeBow. He married Barbara Louise Ernest on August 29, 1969. He had a distinguished career as a professor of clinical psychology at the University of Manitoba (1969-1972, 1974-2015) and at Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire (1972-1974). Michael found joy in writing 14 books, with the sole purpose of helping others. His greatest achievement is a legacy of service to his family, friends, profession and community.
Michael?s Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 45 Dalhousie Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The family expresses their gratitude to Michael?s compassionate caregivers and special thanks to the ICU Team, Victoria Hospital and the ICMS Team, St. Boniface Hospital.
