MICHELLE KRISTINE JARRETT

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michelle Kristine Jarrett on August 24, at the age of 39.

She is survived by her father Mick (Donna), mother Kristine (Ron), brothers Thomas, Jeffrey (Kayla), John (Janelle) and nephew Harrison. She will also be dearly missed by her extended family including many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michelle was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Westwood. After high school, she attended RRC Polytech and graduated as a graphic designer. She spent five years living in Newfoundland and considered it to be her second home. Michelle took pleasure in the simple things. She loved flowers and listening to her favourite music. She was an avid walker and looked forward to annual trips to Lake Winnipeg to spend time near the water. But, she also had a sense of adventure that led her to explore other interests like skydiving, getting her reiki certification and learning to play the drums. She was a musician who had the gift of being able to play by ear. It was her painting, though, where Michelle was undeniably an incredible talent. Her style was beautiful and unique with amazing attention to detail and light. Many hours of hard work went in to each piece, yet they almost looked effortless because her talent was so great. Michelle loved animals. Especially cats. They loved her right back and were likely drawn in by her kind and gentle nature.

Although outwardly she was often quiet and soft spoken, she was most definitely a very strong person. Simply put, Michelle was a beautiful soul.
